The lodge is situated at the back corner of Carnarvon estate in a quiet environment which affords nature loving guests to be in touch with nature.


The lodge is rated as a 3 star with 10 exclusive individual styled en-suite bedrooms with self catering and family units giving a total of 20 beds. Beside the magnificent view the lodge has a built in sitting room, Cash bar and dinning room with log fire places, Stagger inn is viewed as an ideal place for small groups or individuals.

Andriesberg which is part of the greater Mount Arthur range of mountains, which ensures seclusion, privacy and exclusivity, making it an ideal place for hosting any events including weddings, conferences, meetings and workshops.

It has ample parking space. The facility has capacity to host up to 1000 pax and a minimum of 10 pax per session.

The following species are currently accessible on the farm either for game view or hunting on seasonal basis.
Fallow Deer, Blesbuck, Black Wildebeest, Mountain Reedbuck, Barbra sheep, Cape mountain Zebra, etc

Aspect Notes
Accommodation Accommodation for 30 people in lodged and self-catering units – 12 units in total. Eskom power. DSTV selected channels in all rooms. Free WiFi. Good cell-phone signal on selected areas of the farm. Communal lounge with honesty bar and dining room next to well equipped kitchen. Cooling fans. Fresh mountain drinking water. Open fire places in some rooms and in lounge, heaters in others. Excellent linen and towels. Under roof parking, but no vehicles allowed next to rooms. No pets allowed.
Safety Remote location, far away from public roads. No burglar bars, but rooms can be locked. Most of the staff stay on the farm. Felt very safe – even left keys in vehicles.
Leisure activities Fishing in farm dams. Swimming in river stream with built-up weir. Birding. Cycling possible on farm roads. Hiking in mountains and along interpretive route with flowers and plants. Weddings, training, team building with conference rooms. Paragliding off mountains. Self-drive on farm roads and 4x4 roads in mountains. Restricted hunting during season. Dancing Xhosa ladies from local community. Marimba band performance on request.
Farm activities Arable crops – visitors welcome to observe planting and harvesting activities during season. Bonsmara cattle and feedlot activities can be observed. Sheep shearing in Feb and Sep/Oct. Feed mixing and feeding sheep, calves and horses.
Value for money B&B rates for single persons very reasonable. Self-catering rates for groups offer good value. Real farm experience with many leisure activities at market related rates.
